Mission Waco

Mission:
1. Provide Christian-based and relationship-based programs that empower the poor and marginalized 2. Mobilize middle-class Americans to become more compassionately involved among the poor 3. Seek ways to overcome the systemic issues of social injustice which oppress the poor and marginalized
Volunteer Duties:
Assist directly with children, youth and adults in areas such as tutoring, mentoring, meals and cleanup, office tasks, GED, or other activities and projects. Contact Mission Waco or visit its volunteer website for more information.
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and liability form, supply one reference, be approved by the organization, pass a background check ($5 fee), and comply to other requirements specific to the program.
Training:
Training varies according to the type of commitment desired. Volunteers who will work directly with participants must attend an orientation.
Time Commitment:
Preferably weekly or on a regular basis, but can vary with each specific Mission Waco program

Students in the fields of social work or education, as well as others
